La radiodifusión universitaria: acción discursiva radiofónica para la divulgación de la ciencia
Abstract
Discursive action has rised the interest of researchers in the last decades. It is linked with discursive pragmatics as in its forms and practices. This research is centered in the university radio environment (RU) and the habitus of radio production for scientific science popularization (SP) in the state of Coahuila, Mexico. Either public or social entities, RU broadcasters integrate in their mission SP, which is most important in the country's capital. Empirical studies that focus on this phenomena are scarce. This research is centered in analyzing the ways in which social action reaches the audiences through mediation and mediatization of those who create radio content with a scope of first and second level discourse. The analysis paradigm is based in complex systems theory, genetic epistemology, communication interactions field, and cyberculture; whereas methodology is based on discourse analysis. We interviewed 21 agents from 5 radio broadcasters with semi structured interviews. Results and conclusions: Entities work with limited resources, there is an important shortage of science popularizers, and they lack standardized content construction frameworks, there is scarce interdisciplinary work, and scientific community support. Content lies between scientific journalism and educational radio, but it does not reach a threshold to be named SP.
