dc.descriptionThis article contains the basic text of an online course on the topic mentioned in the title of the article and is carried out within the scope of an international research project undertaken by the Universidad Panamericana de México. The article is completed with the contents of a GOOGLE DRIVE platform accessible online at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1kbZFH2Kdq6qJ1Vd_aO8oe-XE6ymqDSWJ?usp=sharing for distance learning, consisting mainly of teaching materials, student exercises, a repository and joint teacher/student research projects. The aim is for the student, through the critical reading method, to develop critical thinking by comparing different versions of Cortés’ physical and character traits in order to learn about the history of New Spain and to reach personal criteria on the issue. To do this, we introduce the theory of critical reading, identify the physical traits and ways of being of Cortés and present the testimonies of the chroniclers of the time and the videos and films that have subsequently interpreted these traits and ways of being.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo contiene el texto básico de un curso en línea sobre el tema mencionado en el título del mismo y se realiza en el ámbito de un proyecto de investigación de carácter internacional emprendido por la Universidad Panamericana de México. El artículo se completa con los contenidos de una plataforma GOOGLE DRIVE accesible en línea en https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1kbZFH2Kdq6qJ1Vd_aO8oe-XE6ymqDSWJ?usp=sharing para enseñanza a distancia formada principalmente por materiales didácticos, ejercicios del estudiante, repositorio y proyectos de investigación conjuntos docente/alumnos. El objetivo es que el alumno, mediante el método de la lectura crítica, desarrolle el pensamiento crítico comparando diversas versiones sobre los rasgos físicos y de carácter de Cortés a fin de aprender historia de Nueva España y alcanzar criterios personales sobre la cuestión. Para ello, introducimos la teoría de la lectura crítica, identificamos los rasgos físicos y modos de ser de Cortés y presentamos los testimonios de los cronistas de la época y los videos y filmes que han interpretado con posterioridad dichos rasgos y modos de ser.es-ES
