This article is about the autobiography of Julia Navarrete (1881-1973), entitled My Way, locating it in the writing of women and in the type of story called spiritual autobiography. The analysis is about the first two stages of his life, which are about his family history, vocational process, entering a congregation, leaving it and founding another in Aguascalientes. The objective is to observe politics of memory, where the memory selects the facts from the perspective of the present and the audience to which the story is directed. The conclusions affirm that it is an autobiography by mandate, whose purpose is to have a text to evaluate the moral quality of the author, in which the memory was selective, but with which she also expressed her subjectivity as a founding woman of institutions educational and religious that remain to this day and that are part of the social history of Mexico.Este artículo trata sobre la autobiografía de Julia Navarrete (1881-1973), titulada Mi camino, ubicándola en la escritura de mujeres y en el tipo de relato llamado autobiografía espiritual. El análisis es sobre las dos primeras etapas de su vida, que versan sobre sus antecedentes familiares, proceso vocacional, ingreso a una congregación, salida de la misma y fundación de otra en Aguascalientes. El objetivo es observar política del recuerdo, en donde la memoria selecciona los hechos desde la perspectiva del presente y la audiencia a la cual va dirigido el relato. Las conclusiones afirman que se trata de una autobiografía por mandato, cuyo fin es contar con un texto para evaluar la calidad moral de la autora, en la cual la memoria fue selectiva, pero con la que también ella expresó su subjetividad como mujer fundadora de instituciones educativas y religiosas que permanecen hasta la actualidad y que forman parte de la historia social de México.
