dc.descriptionThe reception of Charles Baudelaire, in the nineteenth century in Mexico, went through the magazines of the modernist writers, who published several texts of the French poet before they began to circulate in this country the first translations of his books. An attentive reader of Baudelaire was, without a doubt, Ramón López Velarde, who shows traces of his influence in some of his texts. Here I propose to investigate what were the reading conditions that led to an approach between both poets, not only to answer how Ramón López Velarde arrived at the reading of Baudelaire, but also to infer whether these readings permeated his work, as well as the Jerez poet himself suggest in one of his poems.en-US
dc.descriptionLa recepción de Charles Baudelaire, en el siglo XIX en México, pasó por las revistas de los escritores modernistas, quienes publicaron varios textos del poeta francés antes de que empezaran circular en este país las primeras traducciones de sus libros. Un lector atento de Baudelaire lo fue, sin duda, Ramón López Velarde, quien acusa huellas de su influencia en algunos de sus textos. Aquí me propongo indagar cuáles fueron las condiciones de lectura que propiciaron un acercamiento entre ambos poetas, no sólo para responder cómo llegó Ramón López Velarde a la lectura de Baudelaire, sino también para inferir si estas lecturas permearon su obra, tanto como el mismo poeta jerezano sugiriera en alguno de sus poemas.es-ES
